The Magic of Nail Art

Nearly every beauty salon in the UK is now offering nail art as part of a manicure or pedicure. This is because of the overwhelming demand nowadays for this service. Why has nail art become so popular?
Many celebrities and models have adorned their nails with diamantes and nail art for many years so it’s no wonder it has become so popular within society. As you can see from the picture of Beyonce, nail art is now like any other accessory to celebrities.

Women of all ages are now having nail art done as a regular service. But there are many types of nail art available out there. Some of these include diamantes like Beyonce is wearing in picture. Some nail art is painted on freehand, airbrushed on or nail stickers or decals might be used.

Freehand nail art is the act of painting an image onto a fingernail or toenail, using a nail polish brush or nail polish pen. Freehand nail art might only make use of one colour. The nail technician might use a base coat and then paint a heart or star on the nail using one colour only. Other freehand images might be more complex. In the picture above the technician has used a black base coat and then painted a white flower. To give the flower a more life like look the technician has used a grey colour to define the petals.

Nail art has become so popular technicians are constantly making new designs to try to keep up with the competition out there. Some freehand nail art is so complex that only a very experienced nail technician could do it. Experienced technicians can even copy biscuit wrappers, crisp packets or even soft drink designs onto the nails.

These types of designs would take hours to do and would be an example of a competition entry that a nail technician could use. Not everyone would want to have nails like these but it shows that the ranges of designs available are vast and each person’s own unique style can be incorporated into their nail design. Some of the basic freehand nail art images that are popular include flowers, birds, polka dots and stripes.

Airbrushing is another technique used by nail technicians. It’s faster and easier for technicians to add images to nails and many different colours can be used. The technician can use stencils when airbrushing and they can be reused but the work done isn’t as unique as some of the styles created by freehand. The picture below shows airbrushed designs and hand painted designs.

Sometimes people don’t want nail art on all their nails. Sometimes one flower on one nail on their left and right finger nail or toenail is all they require. Nail stickers or decals can be used for simpler designs as they don’t require much skill and can be used when the client requires only one nail to have a design applied to. Its so much fun to practice different designs and great to help stand out from the crowd!

New York - If I can make it there I'll make it anywhere!

I have never bought a Sarah Jessica Parker fragrance before but I must say I am really impressed with this one. So much so that I will be buying this perfume! Why? You might ask. Why is it so special? Well first of all the bottle is so funky and modern it catches the eye. Infact the night I first saw this perfume I was very surprised that it was infact a Sarah Jessica Parker fragrance. Then even more surprising in a good way a lady in the shop came over and gave me a sample of the perfume and I have been wearing it almost everyday and its nearly gone!

The fragrance is so fresh its like walking round with spring on your wrist. It's also long lasting and actually helps the mood. I honestly felt happy with this fragrance on. I would recommend this fragrance to anyone! Trust me, go get a bottle!

Ok so its not the same James Brown.......BUT I was thinking that about this product. On saturday before my appointment at the hairdressers I decided to try this product out. I thought when could be a better time to test this than when your hair is at its worst? So I gave James Brown Intensively Glossy Rescue Treatment out. I have to say I was impressed.

Below are two pictures of my hair (That I BLEACH by the way). The one on the left is before and the one on the right is after.

My hair was so soft when I used this my hairdresser was amazed at what good condition my hair was in when I turned up. What she didn't know is I had just used this product and my hair felt so soft, silky and looked really glossy. I have to say also on the before picture this was after I brushed my hair. It was a dry looking mess!
I would recommend this product and will be using again when my hair needs rescuing.

Cellulite - The On Going Nightmare!

Hi All
I know I said my blogs would be based around make up but I thought why stop there? There are many other parts about looking good that women focus on. I know I do. If your like me you will be constantly looking into new ways to improve yourself.

One of my on going battles with my own body is the dreaded, evil cellulite. Oh just the word makes me cringe! I know if I don't do anything about it, it will definitely get worse.

So many women suffer with this, infact some men too have been known to have it. Looking at these pictures I know which one I'd rather be.

So is it really possible to have a cellulite free body?

Do you wish you had fuller Angelina like lips? Me too. Can't afford cosmetic treatments or just don't want them? Me too. BUT I think Too Faced cosmetics may have the answer we've been looking for!

Take a look at Too Faced Lip Injection

Pictures taken from www.asos.com

I absolutely LOVE this product. It does exactly what it says on the tin! Or well in this case the box. I have looked for products like this one before and nothing really worked. Then I was so attracted to the gorgeous packaging and girly stand in Boots (www.boots.com) that I just had to try it. I'm so glad I did.

The pictures below are of my lips. The one on the left is before application and the one on the right is after. I took this picture approximately two minutes after applying. Just look at the results! (And yes I know I have wonky lips haha).

I'm wearing the clear gloss here but they do have different coloured ones. At first your lips tingle for around 5 minutes and then ease off. Don't worry about this it is normal and safe.
Lip Injection has the following benefits
